Well, my weight was down quite a bit again today:
Amazing what happens when you don't eat anything. So that's over 8 pounds down in four days by fasting. Again, most of that was probably water again due to all of the salty foods I'd been eating, but it's not all water.
Last year in October I did a similar thing when I had to weigh in at work. My work has this thing where if you are overweight, you have to lower your BMI by two points by the next year or they charge you $500, but if you do lose they give you $500, so that's $1000 worth of motivation. So when it was weigh-in time, I hadn't lost much weight so I fasted for a week I think, and I cut back on drinking as well toward the end. I basically followed a boxer's pre-match cut routine, and it worked.
This time, it's not so much to make a goal for a weigh-in, but to get myself back on track and get my will power back. So it did accomplish that goal.
I had a nice dinner of pulled pork with mashed potatoes and green beans, and of course some Kefir to get my gut going again:
I probably should have eaten something lighter, but we smoked the pork earlier in the week and the family has been eating it all week, and I was really wanting some. It was certainly delicious. Not much tastes better than good food after a long fast.
I was feeling pretty good through the whole fast, but I did get pretty tired toward the end. It didn't help that last night I only got four hours of sleep because I was making a YouTube video. Despite that, I was feeling really good this morning, but crashed pretty hard after work. I had to do some shopping on the way home, and I was pretty out of it, I think the lack of food combined with the lack of sleep.
Looking forward to a good night's sleep after some good eating today. We'll see tomorrow how my weight reacts to being fed again.
